I heard a whisper

I did not hear any door banging
Nor could I hear any window opening or closing
But there is every sign that some people have been here
That seat looks recently vacated
And those plates recently used
Above all, I heard a whisper in here

Can it be a dream,
Or any form of an illusion,
That I stand here alone,
That the air is still and motionless,
That there is a flood of light all over,
Yet I do not feel to be alone?
Moreover I heard a whisper in here

I know I live by myself alone,
I have no friend here around,
I have all my keys with me
And that I am just arriving
Yet I heard a whisper here

How did it all come to be,
That I come late from work
With the weary of a stressed man
And the silence of a lonely man
As I turned my key to the right, yes the door was locked
But then, in here I heard a whisper
I proceeded to open and to enter only to find myself alone
Every other lock looks locked and every window tightly closed
Yet I heard a whisper and the sounds of footsteps dispersing and sinking into distance
